Koh-e-Sulaiman – The mountain that holds many secrets

In Pashtun folktales, Koh-e-Sulaiman, the highest summit of the Takht-i Sulaiman, is said to be associated with Prophet Solomon. Ibn-e-Batuta, a Muslim historian and traveller, claimed that Prophet Solomon was the first person ever to reach the peak of the mountain. Not only that, Prophet Noah and his followers supposedly settled there after the flood.

 Shehr-e-Roghan – Inhabited by demons

Shehr-e-Roghan is an archaeological town in Balochistan which is popularly referred to as the City of Caves or City of Jinns. It is said that during the time of King Soloman, there lived a beautiful princess called Badiul Jamal in the city who was possessed by demons. Numerous princes tried to rescue her but failed, then one day Prince Saiful Malook came and got rid off her tormentors. The rumour is that those demons still inhabit the mountains and caves, and attack the unwary visitors.

The Spaceship crashed on Earth

They came from a distant place in our Galaxy. Their spaceship crashed on Earth. They were chased and killed by humans. Stranded on an alien planet they desperately tried to return home. They knew their existence was doomed and therefore they wrote down their story for others to read. They wanted to tell us who they were and what brought them here. They left a message for future generations, but the alien artifacts they left behind were hidden from the public! This story is known under a lot of names and it is one of the most covered-up stories in the history of extraterrestrial-human interaction.

The “Heaven Lake Monster

It’s not just Scotland that has a “Nessie”. Heaven Lake is situated in the Changbaishan National Nature Reserve between China and North Korea, covering an area of around four square miles. Since 1903 there have been several sightings of the “Heaven Lake Monster”, and even reports of it attacking local people. Some people make claims that the lake is home to an entire family of these creatures, and in 2007 a 20-minute video was released of six of the monsters swimming in the water. You can book tours for the Changbaishan National Nature Reserve which will likely include a trip to Tiānchí

Underwater Crop Circle

Underwater Crop Circle: Once regarded to be objects of high intrigue, the underwater crop circles have been explained to be a creative demonstration of puffer fishes’ quests for finding their mates. These underwater circles are have circumferences of over six feet and are often decorated with shells and other decorative items found at the bottom of the sea. The underwater crop circles were discovered under the waters of the Japanese island of Anami Oshima. Some consider these ocean mysteries as the work of aliens.

Convergence of Baltic and North Seas

Convergence of Baltic and North Seas: This oceanic phenomenon has been a highly debated topic. The convergent point of the North and the Baltic Seas occurs in the province of Skagen in Denmark. However because of the differing rates of densities of the seas’ waters, the sea waters continue to remain separate in spite of their convergence. It is said that this ocean phenomenon finds a mention in the HOLLY QURAN ..

GP Block – Meerut INDIA

GP Block in Meerut is also very notoriously known for all the paranormal activity it beholds. Despite being a popular zone, there have been reportedly a lot of strange sightings.
For instance people who pass this place claim to have seen four males sitting together and enjoying an alcoholic beverage by the light of a single candle. At first, this was not
considered spooky for it could just be four friends having a good time but once it was established that it was indeed four ghosts, people in and around the area became increasingly interested. In addition, some claim to also witness a young girl coming out of the house in what many people believe to be a red dress. With time people have abandoned that place for obvious reasons but it continues to catch the fancy of those who love the paranormal.

THE MILKY SEA PENOMENA

Sailors of yore used to tell tales of suddenly encountering "pale, milky, glowing waters." As it turns out, it wasn't just a fisherman's tale. In 1995, a British merchant vessel documented that the sea looked "milky-white."
Modern scientists, like Steve Haddock at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, have discovered that luminous bacteria or bio luminescent dinoflagellates are the source of the glow, though it was all still theoretical at the time of a 2005 study. A follow-up study from Haddock and three other scientists concluded that the bacteria glows to attract fish, so it can be ingested and live inside of it.
The bacteria gathers in the trillions, but scientists still don't know what caused "such a massive bacteria population explosion."
"There are still far more questions than answers surrounding milky seas," the study says. "We have gained a new sense for how very little indeed we really know about the place we call 'home.'

Door to Hell in Turkmenistan.

The Door to Hell, is near the small town of Darvaz in Turkmenistan. Forty-two years ago, geologists were drilling for gas when then encountered a very large cavern underground filled with a poisonous gas. They ignited the gas expecting it to burn off in a few hours. The gas is still burning to this day. Its 525 feet in diameter and 65 feet depth have not been caused by volcanic activity or a meteorite impact. This crater was created sometime in the 50’s when the Soviets were prospecting for natural gas in this area and it’s been burning since then.

Underwater City in Shicheng, China

This incredible underwater city, trapped in time, is 1341 years old. Shicheng, or Lion City, is located in the Zhejiang province in eastern China. It was submerged in 1959 during the construction of the Xin’an River Hydropower Station. The water protects the city from wind and rain erosion, so it has remained sealed underwater in relatively good condition.

The Great Pyramids EGYPT

The much creepier story surrounding the haunting of the pyramids is the emergence of the ghost of Pharaoh Khufu himself who is the proud owner of one of them. Dressed in traditional ancient Egyptian armor, he appears at midnight and walks the streets, visiting houses and telling their inhabitants to leave the area. If ghosts have unfinished business to linger around, Khufu has been very patient for many millennia now.

The Valley of the Kings EGYPT

Hosting a few hundred dead Pharaohs for the past 5000 years, the rumor that the Valley of the Kings is haunted should come as a surprise to no one. A pharaoh in a chariot has been seen roaming the valley as well as perceptions of strange noises such as footsteps, screams and shuffling without a source. Watchmen believe these are the spirits of the deceased whose tombs have been desecrated. Now they are looking for their treasures which are, largely, crammed in the Egyptian Museum a few hundred miles away.
On top of that, the "Mummy's curse" has made Tutankhamen's grave site a creepy place. Upon financing the discovery of the site, Lord Carnation died before he could harvest the fruits of his investment due to an infected mosquito bite on his neck. The later inspection of Tutankhamen found a similar wound on the young Pharaoh. Howard Carter, the archaeologist who found the site, died due to chemicals used in the chamber after it was discovered. Hence, his greatest discovery was also his doom, spreading more superstition over the apparent curse on the tomb. These accounts are super scary albeit highly controversial.

World’s Largest Cave, Son Doong, Malaysia

The cave was found in 1991 by local man Ho Khanh. In 2009, a group of British cavers led by Howard Limbert explored the cave’s interior, only then realizing that it was possibly the greatest cave in the world. Son Doong Cave has dethroned Malaysia’s Deer Cave as the world’s largest.
The water and limestone that carved it over millions of slow, patient years have created spectacular and unique formations. Occasional collapses in the roof have allowed underground jungle ecosystems to form, and with them, all-new species that have never been seen anywhere else. Rare cave pearls, ancient fossils, and towering stalactites form around a river running through the caves, which are so large that they form their own clouds.
Now that the caves have been thoroughly explored, the government has granted tour operators permission to host treks through the caves, which have already begun operating this summer

MASJID E JINN

Masjid Jinn, also known as Masjid Haras, is built on the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) drew a line for Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) who had accompanied him after he had been commanded to recite the Qur’an to the Jinn.
Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, “While in Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) once said to the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them), ‘Whoever wishes to see what the Jinn are all about should come along’. Besides myself no-one else came. When we reached the place in the Ma’la district of Makkah the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) used his foot to draw a circle on the ground. He then instructed me to sit inside the circle. After proceeding a little further, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) started reciting the Quran. It then happened that Jinn started to arrive in troops as they gathered there. So many came that I could not even see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) nor hear him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) then continued talking with a group of them until Fajr.  [Tafseer ibn Kathir]It has also been narrated by Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said, “A caller from among the jinn came to me, and I went with him and recited Quran to them.” He further narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) took them and showed them their footsteps and the traces of their fires. They had asked him for provision and he had prayed to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and told them, “You will have every bone over which the name of Allah has been mentioned; when it falls into your hands it will have plenty of meat on it. And all droppings are food for your animals.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said, “Do not use them (bones and dung) to clean yourselves after relieving yourselves, for they are the food of your brothers.” [Saheeh Muslim]

MAJLIS E JINN OMAN

Majlis al Jinn, which translates to “Meeting Place of the Spirits”, is one of the world's ten largest cave chambers. It is situated in Oman, southeast of Muscat, and is notable for its isolated and relatively inaccessible location. The only entrances to Majlis al Jinn are small openings formed by rainwater erosion atop the remote Selma Plateau, which forms the peak of the cave’s magnificent freestanding domed roof. The sheer size of the chamber, when contrasted with its unassuming exterior, renders it a unique natural wonder.

Valley OF Jinn Saudi Arabia

Wadi Al-Baida, also called Wadi Al-Jinn, is a mysterious valley where cars move without drivers touching them. The valley is situated some 30 km northwest of Madinah. It draws the attention of thousands of locals and visitors from around the Kingdom and abroad. Many city dwellers travel to this natural park and erect tents for a few days, especially during the weekend.
Traditionalists believe the power of jinn is present in Wadi Al-Jinn. Among the many peculiar stories about this valley are those about vehicles moving upward in the mountainous roads, without any need to push the accelerator. Even when the driver would switch off the engine, the car would move. Many people related this to the power of jinns in the valley but it is also claimed that the mountains in this region have some special type of magnetic powers.
My curiosity made me go and explore the valley, after hearing the unusual stories. It is a beautiful place, with trees surrounded by mountains, no houses or signs of any city or village.
We parked the car in neutral gear and to our amazement the car was moving slowly, even though the engine was switched off. First we thought the road must be sloped, but it wasn’t. In fact the car was moving upward on its own. After a while, the speed of the car increased.
We learned later that the mountains in the surrounding area have magnetic qualities, which attract cars. Any iron object with wheels will move on its own.
Geological experts point out that this phenomenon, known as reverse gravity, is also evident in other regions in the Kingdom, including the southern regions of Asir and Najran. It is regarded as a natural phenomenon taking place usually in some rocky mountainous regions.
Locals who have stayed in the valley at night said they had heard voices asking them to leave. “You don’t belong here. This is our place,” they claimed the voices had told them.

The Queen Mary Hotel – California, USA

The Queen Mary Hotel is a former ocean liner that sailed primarily in the North Atlantic during the 1930’s to 1960’s. Since the 1970’s the liner has been run as a hotel in Long Beach, California.
It’s regarded as one of the most haunted hotels in America, and with the vast array of experiences that have been reported there, it’s hard to argue. The ship has so many haunted areas, that it’s hard to know where to start when trying to explain them.
The most popular of all the reports seems to be from the First Class Swimming Pool. Two women apparently drowned here during the 1930’s and 1960’s. Their ghosts have been seen on numerous occasions in this area.
The figure of a woman in white has been seen in the Queen’s Salon. There have been sightings of a gentleman in a formal 1930’s suit in the First Class suites. The ghosts of two children have been seen and heard near the storage room, and the ghost of a young woman has been seen walking through the Tourist Class Swimming Pool.
In Cabin B340 there have also been a lot of paranormal reports, however this isn’t available for rent any longer. Whether this is to do with the experiences that have been reported there or for very different reasons, is not known.

The White House – Washington D.C., USA

Perhaps the world’s most famous residence, the home and office of the President of the United States. It has been the official residence of every president since 1800, when John Adams first moved into the house. With the vast amount of history and historical figures that have graced its rooms, it’s very little wonder that the White House has a tale or two of hauntings. In fact, it’s considered to be one of the most haunted houses in the whole of the United States.
Past president’s, their families, and foreign dignitaries have all attested to the paranormal goings on at the White House. On one particular visit, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill, was staying in the Lincoln Bedroom. He had just finished bathing and walked back into the suite where he saw Lincoln standing by the fireplace. He refused to sleep in that room again after that. Other people that have said they have seen the ghost of Abraham Lincoln include president’s Teddy Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, and Dwight Eisenhower; First Ladies Jacquie Kennedy and Ladybird Johnson; and presidential children Susan Ford and Maureen Reagan. Maureen and her husband both witnessed Lincoln standing by the same fireplace where Churchill had once seen him.
Reportedly Queen Wilhemina of the Netherlands was staying in the Rose Room when she heard a knock on the door in the middle of the night. When she answered she was confronted by the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, standing in the hallway.
President Andrew Jackson is believed to haunted the Rose Room, with numerous White House employees reportedly hearing his hearty laughter or him in a fit of rage, swearing violently.
The ghost of Abigail Adams (wife of John Adams) has been seen floating through the East Room. This is apparently the room in which she used to hang her laundry, and several eye witnesses including staff and visitors have seen her seemingly floating across the room with her arms outstretched, as if carrying a laundry basket.
Various other spectres have also been seen, including past employees, Presidents Thomas Jefferson and John Tyler; First Lady Dolley Madison; a British soldier; and Anne Surratt. Sudden cold spots, disembodied footsteps, voices, knocks, and screams have also been reported at the seemingly very haunted 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Edinburgh Castle – Edinburgh, Scotland

The site on which Edinburgh Castle sits has history dating back to the Iron Age. Situated overlooking what many people believe to be the most haunted city on Earth, Edinburgh Castle has been the site of torture and many bloody battles during its time. Recipes for many a haunted location.
Visitors and staff of this now tourist destination, have experienced many things over the years. The most common is the feeling of being touched and pulled, as well as the sighting of apparitions. Spirits that have been witnessed include an old man wearing an apron, a headless drummer boy, and a piper who mysteriously lost his life after getting lost in the tunnels below the castle.
Other experiences include shadowy figures, strange lights, sudden drops in temperature, unexplained mists, strange sounds, the feeling of being watched, and sudden intense feelings of dread, sadness, and despair.

Château de Brissac, Maine-et-Loire, France

Originally built in the 11th century as a castle by the Counts of Anjou, Château de Brissac was rebuilt in 1502, by Charles II, Duke of Brissac, who gave it its name. This noble castle is the tallest in France, and it exudes old world charm, but one of its past residents has shocked more than one visitor.
A double murder that occurred sometime in the 15th century within the walls of the castle, has resulted in one of the more popular ghosts of the Château de Brissac, that of the la Dame Verte, or “Green Lady”. The current residents (the current Duke of Brissac and his family) have become accustomed to her roaming the rooms, but she has scared many a guest. She is often seen in the tower room of the chapel, wearing her green dress. What’s most terrifying however, is her face. If she looks at you, you’ll see that her face has gaping holes were her eyes and nose should be, resembling what a corpse would look like. As well as her sighting, her moans are also often heard throughout the castle in the early hours.

Banff Springs Hotel, Alberta, Canada

The Banff Springs hotel in Alberta Canada, was built over 125 years ago by the Canadian Pacific Railway, as a luxury stop off point for train travelers. Don’t let its picturesque surroundings fool you though, it’s rumoured to be one of the most haunted in the country.
Terrifying reports include the sighting of a bride who fell down the staircase breaking her neck after panicking when her dress caught fire. Her apparition has been seen on the staircase and in the ballroom dancing, with many reporting the flames from the back of her dress.
The main story that is told by locals is that of the family that was murdered in room 873. The door to this room has since been bricked up, but the family that lost their life in this room are still seen to this day, often in the hallway outside the room.
Perhaps the most popular of all the reports is the former bellman, Sam Macauley. He served at the hotel during the 60’s and 70’s, and is still seen to this day. He likes to help guests up to their rooms, dressed in his 60’s uniform, often turning on lights and opening locked doors. If you try and make conversation or tip Sam, he vanishes.

Ancient Ram Inn, Gloucestershire, England

Built in 1145, the Ancient Ram Inn is believed to be the most haunted house in the entire British Isles, and perhaps the most haunted house in the world. The tales of child sacrifices, devil worship, and evil spirits are believed to be behind the terrifying happenings in this building. The Inn was built on the intersection of 2 ley lines, what many people believe is a conductor for spiritual activity. In addition, an ancient Pagan burial ground is said to have resided in the property over 5,000 years ago.
During its time as a bed and breakfast, people would often flee in the middle of the night, often seeing full bodied apparitions in their rooms, the feeling of being touched/pulled, disembodied voices, and the just the general feeling of evil.
John, the current owner and resident of the Ram Inn, has reported that on his first night in the house in 1968, he felt a presence grab his arm, before being dragged out of bed and across the room! John has since found evidence of devil worship and ritual sacrifice. He found two child skeletons underneath the staircase, as well as broken daggers. He continues to experience the hauntings and the attacks to this day.

The Tower of London – London, England

With a history of torture and execution going back over 900 years, the Tower of London is regarded by many as one of the most haunted places in the UK. It was originally built in 1078 by William the Conqueror, and has served a major role in the history of England ever since. There have been many reports of the paranormal at the Tower of London over the years. The most famous of all the spirits that live within its walls, is Anne Boleyn, the wife of King Henry VIII. She was beheaded in 1536, and her headless body has been seen walking the Tower’s corridors and often near the spot of her demise.Other full bodied apparitions have also been seen including Lady Jane Grey, who was spotted by a guardsman in 1957. In the White Tower the White Lady has been seen, often standing at window, where she once stood waving to her children on the other side of the building.Perhaps the most spine chilling of all reports includes the mysterious appearance of two children. They have been witnessed throughout the rooms of the castle. They’re often seen in their nightgowns, holding hands and with a look of terror on their faces. It is believed these are two former Prince’s, who were sent tot he Tower after they were deemed illegitimate by Parliament. They vanished one day and it was assumed that they were murdered by order of their uncle, the Duke of Gloucester. Apparently, two small skeletons were exhumed beneath a staircase in the White Tower.

Punjab – Lahore – Z Block DHA

People claim that there is a big haunted house in DHA Phase 3 sector Z, which has been subjected to several exorcisms but the ghosts refuse to leave despite the owner’s attempt. It is believed that this is why the price of that property is considerably low. Whatever the people might say, I firmly maintain the belief that some ghosts were looking for some cheap plots in DHA and when they failed to find one (thanks to the property prices there) they simply haunted that house and started living there. That is the truth, if you are willing to believe!

Ramoji Film City – Hyderabad

Being one of the biggest film cities in the country, this place is home to a lot of hotels which have been projected to a lot of controversy because of the reported “supernatural activities” in and around them.
Witnesses report the lights kept on top keep falling off, the light men- who sit with the lights on top have been pushed so many times and many have had grievous injuries. The food left in rooms also gets scattered around the room and strange marks are left on the mirrors.
Females are more targeted by the ghosts than the males. Girls reported an invisible force tearing their clothes off, some said they felt someone knock their washroom doors while the rooms remain locked from the inside. They create havoc. Many preventive measures have been taken but in vain. Must visit haunted place in India in case you want to experience the paranormal for yourself.

Jatinga – Assam

Having a population of around 2500, this village is popular worldwide for its unexplained phenomenon ofbird suicides. Most of the migratory birds visiting the area never leave the village, dropping dead for no rhyme or reason on the streets. The case gets even more inscrutable as these birds always plummet to their death between 06:00 p.m. to 09:30 p.m. on the moonless nights of September and October.
These mass suicides only occur on a specific 1 mile by 600 feet strip of land and this phenomenon is said to have occurred year after year without a break for more than a century. Many theories have been offered by scientists to explain this phenomenon, the most popular one being that these birds are attracted towards village lights which later confuse them, along with many others.
None of them have yet been able to prove any of the theories behind this phenomenon though, which is why it continues to haunt and intrigue the minds of the residents and travellers just the same.

Dumas Beach, Surat- Gujarat

Situated along the Arabian Sea in Gujarat, this beach is known for its black sand and mystical activities.
Many unexplainable and puzzling incidents have been known to occur like strange whispers being heard, people disappearing during night etc.
In fact, it is believed that a lot of people have lost their lives exploring this mysterious beauty.
If you are a brave heart, you can test the waters yourself by taking a midnight stroll along the beach, if you have company. If the testimonies are anything to go by, you will also be greeted by warnings asking you to not cross a certain line while on the beach. It is also believed that this beach was for long used as a Hindu burial ground, therefore, being the resting place of tortured souls. There have also been reports of people disappearing mysteriously and having never been found again. However, if you still feel you would want to go for it then by all means. If you love the paranormal you would definitely have the time of your life.

Xochimilco, a district just south of Mexico City, is home to a number of artificial islands and canals, one of which was owned by a caretaker named Julian Santana Barrera. When Barrera discovered the body of a young girl in one of the canals near his island, he began to collect dolls to hang around the island to ward off any evil spirits, and to make the ghost of the young girl happy. The island, known as La Isla de las Munecas (the Island of Dolls), is now visited by thousands of tourists a year, who bring dolls to carry on Barrera’s tradition.

SAIF UL MALOOK LAKE PAKISTAN

Prince Saiful Mulook and Badi-ul- Jamal is a classic fable from the Hazara region of Pakistan. It tells the story of a Prince's love for a fairy; the name Saiful Malook refers to a lake in northern Pakistan. The story of Saif ul Muluk is that the Prophet [[Joseph] (Yosuf) is asked who will be the handsomest man after him and he has two seals made, and says that the man will be my descendant and will inherit these seals, and so after many years when Saif ul Muluk comes of age and is bequeathed these seals among many other treasures, on one of them is a picture of himself and on the other is a picture of the beautiful fairy Princess Badi-ul-Jamal, meaning the glory of the moon, he falls in love and thus begins his long arduous journey to find her. Prince, Saif ul Malook fell in love with a fairy princess, Badr-ul-Jamal, whom he saw in his dreams. The prince was restless until a Dervish (holy man) told him where to find her (i.e. by the lake) and that he had to go through a tough exam to be able to marry the fairy because the prince was a human and she was a fairy. Thus the prince marched on his quest for the impossible in the name of love. He waited by the lake where there was no habitation (and there still is not), no food, nothing. His long wait of 12 years, finally reaped harvest and one good morning he saw the fairy come to bathe with her maids and friends in the lake. Later when he does find her, he learns that her soul is trapped in the tallest mountain of the lake which is now called "Saif ul Muluk" and the mountain is "Malka Purbat" which means "the Mountain of the Fairies" and that she is bound to Jinn, and he can only free her when the Jinn is dead, but he cannot defeat him using ordinary means, for the Jinn has hidden his soul in talisman of some sort and hidden it away, Saiful Maluk and his army succeed in finding the talisman and killing the jinn but igniting a 40 year war between the jinn of the earth and those who dwell in the spirit world. The prince hid her wings as advised by the holy man. The fairy was very tense at not finding her wings. Eventually the prince appeared and told her about his tale of love and long wait, which moved the fairy and they agreed to marry. But there is always a villain. So a Deuo Safaid (the white giant) who was himself in love with the fairy got jealous and furious. In rage the giant cried and thus tear lake (ansoo jheel, approx. 2 miles away ) was formed. The giant stepped angrily, the dam broke and the outlet to the lake Saif-ul-Mulook was formed. The prince and the fairy princess fled away in a cave (which still exists and its length is unknown to this day). The legend says that both the prince and the fairy live in the centre of the lake saifulmulook, and on every full moon night they emerge mounted on a white flying horse, the pagasus, from the centre of the lake.

MOHATTA PALACE KARACHI

Built in 1927 by Shivratan Chandraratan, it was abandoned when India and Pakistan partition took place. This incredible palace is now a museum. But many strange things seem to happen here when the visitors are gone and the lights grow dim. Many of the workers claim that things have a tendency to move themselves, from one place to another, claims have been made of lights moving around, when no one is inside. The guards believe that the palace is haunted by ghosts from the British Raj; they say their presence can be “felt” during the night while the guards are on duty.
